Unexpressed Emotions

Bitter

Words that haunt us are things we chose not to say, and the quote above, I found similar. But it scares me. Well, slightly. Because my emotions are just growing deeper, and they are unexpressed. Right now I see them at a wake, which may last longer than I think before getting buried.

The notion that these dead feelings will come back in uglier ways is creepy, alarming, and scary. I’ve heard stories just like this and no one wants it. The hate, love, or passion you have for someone suddenly presenting itself again, sometimes much stronger than how it used to be. Just the thought is frightening, what more when it happens? Will you be able to sleep?

Once we’re given a second chance, we do almost everything we can just to make the most out of it. We are careful on avoiding the mistakes from the past and we are wiser. But we are also bolder, daring. By fighting for our feelings we hurt other people. And because of that, we are creating new mistakes. Mistakes that we like, mistakes that we feel less guilty of, on the account of doing them so as not to be regretful. This is when doing the right thing or doing the thing you like comes in. We trick ourselves into thinking that the thing we like is the right one when we know it’s not. But how can they blame us when it’s our only consolation?

I will not ask you to express yourself, because that I can’t do as well. So let’s just build up courage until we’re ready.

  1. That is a powerful quote. Wow! That is why I think writing is healthy. It helps to flesh out all that stuff you buried and hid. I still say you are in control of your actions though, face your demons head on and make them go away. Easier said than done. 🙂 ❤
