Ilocos is one of those places we often see on TV, with its classic giant windmills along the beach, the nostalgic street that is Calle Crisologo, and the long stretch of sand for thrilling adventures. I was so delighted to have shared that and more with my daring travel buddies. Together we explored historical places up north, ate mouthwatering specialty food, and walked our way from forest trails to rock formations and highways to shores. We probably had the most fun in the sand dunes—braving the wild and bumpy 4×4 ride, sand boarding a couple of times, and stopping on a scenic movie set-up for some fierce photo shoot. Long months have already past but I still remember how ecstatic we were on this trip, and I’m certain this won’t be the last.
