New theme!

Sweet

23

I do what I like. Sometimes spontaneously. Just look at the new theme of my blog.

Last night I suddenly wanted to change the skin of my blog, maybe because I got tired of the old one and I needed something new, something different, something that’s much more interesting. So I started trying out free themes until Ryu caught my eye. It’s simple with a bit of class. A few tweaking here and a free download of a background pattern after, this is what my blog looks like.

I’m glad that somehow I feel like I was able to keep the ambiance of it, the mood, familiarity. I think, I hope, it still gives off the bittersweet vibe, the melancholy of the poems or stories that I write, and of course, whatever sensation there is that will come to life.

Here’s to a brighter year to all! One down, eleven to go. ☼

It was the same day of last year when I first published a post on this blog so I’d like to greet you guys and everyone who has been a part of this journey, Happy Anniversary!

So much has happened last 2015 that I’m so glad it already ended. But even though the year passed by, we can’t leave everything behind. I could only hope for the best this 2016.

Happy New Year everyone! Here’s to more bittersweet posts to come!

The hand I’m using to write this down will be cut off soon. Day after tomorrow, in particular. But I can still use a voice recognition software to save my thoughts virtually. Or, this I prefer, I can ask someone to write them down for me.

When you truly love something, you will always find a way for it. Remember that, bro.

The paper on the sidewalk contained that note. He ignited a dying flame in my discouraged heart. Now I wanna do theater again.

Pay Me Half A Heart

Sweet

He heard me and C talking about the bracelet. I accepted it but I’ll pay half the cost for I don’t find any reason he should be giving this. C said that he saw it on a souvenir store and it reminded him of me. Which is actually sweet, had it come from another person.

After a couple of minutes, He texted me.

So if I give you my heart, you’ll pay with half of yours? That’s more than enough you know.

I swear I couldn’t contain my happiness when I read that. It was his first message to me, so I just smiled wholeheartedly and let it be.

a quote a day, 3

Sweet

It’s okay to be hurting as much as you are; what you are feeling is not only completely valid, but necessary—because it makes you so much more human.

– Lang Leav

This quote is from Lang Leav’s Broken Hearts. Even though we have reserved an unsuspected strength that comes out when we most need them, it’s still okay to be hurting as much as we are. We are not made of steel, we are not robots, we are humans. And it makes us capable of hurting or in being so much pain, but yes, that’s necessary.

When I turned 20, I found that I was more emotional, so I actually started to allow myself to cry as much as I need to when my heart is heavy. (I just did this morning.) And I think that in order for us to move on, or at least try to, we need to hurt as much first. Because now that we know how pain feels like, we will do anything not to get back on that same situation again.

a quote a day, 2

Sweet

I immediately liked this quote when I first read it because my life is currently up on many tests. And it’s true that our strengths within are no joke. Some of us think that we cannot go through a particular obstacle once it arrives, but we can, and we will. I never thought that I have kept in me a very useful quality that I need in order to survive in this world. And I hope you, too, have gathered strength in your heart that will naturally come out when needed.

Count Your Blessings

Sweet

johnny-depp-quote-count-your-blessings

This quote might not be inspiring and I think it could even make someone sad. Or all of us sad. Coz you know, we could just name anything we want that we can’t have, from the silly stuff to our infinite dreams, and it would easily ache our hearts.

But that is not to say that we should be so bitter about it or very depressed. Because even though there are a lot of things that we can’t have, there are still more that we already possess. These things might just be what’s right for us at the moment. And maybe when we’re ready, absolutely ready, we could finally get our hands on those that we want.

So don’t mull too much over things that don’t belong to us. I’m sure you know how that famous saying goes right? Count your blessings. Because they truly matter. Believe me.

The One You Love Or The One Who Loves You

Sweet

theoneyouloveortheonewholovesyou

She looked up and saw two faces, both of their hands reaching out to her. The time suddenly stopped when she blinked, and brought her to a place she will never forget.

That deep hazelnut eyes she loves, the face of the man who’s numb. She’s been with him since her world began, he was more than just the best bud he thought he was.

A sound made her flinch and look the other way, the beautiful voice of the man who cares. He came in her life long enough, and didn’t waste time to show his love.

Something reeled her back in the moment, sweats trickle her skin. She was thrown in the hardest situation one could be in, to choose between the man who loves her and the man she dreamed.

Both roads are uncertain, whichever she choose, having thought about this before.

Slowly, she locked her eyes with him, smiled, and reached for his hand.
