Beautifulonely

I’m not sure what type of butterfly that is, but it managed to come in our house two Decembers ago and decided to stay on the ceiling. As much as I would like for it to stick around because I think it’s really enjoying its lone time, I know that it will enjoy its life more outside our humble home. So after taking a couple of pictures, I gently picked it up and let it go just outside our door.

I felt bad that I intervened in the butterfly’s solitude, but I was glad when I saw it flying away.

Not Sweet Sixteen

Poetry

A flat tire in my throat
Salt river down my cheeks
The clown’s red puffy nose
And a blue handkerchief

My heart screaming “Stop!!”
But the body keeps going on
The mind finally speaks up
All things happen for a reason

So I waited for the year to pass
Hoping I’d find myself along
But I found other people instead
And they made me wanna move on

Turns out, I was never really gone
And everything was just an illusion
The emotions from the first stanza
It’s just me craving for attention

We’re happy, free, confused, and lonely at the same time

.

This one’s hard to explain. But in a day, there’s no way we wouldn’t feel this. There are just so many emotions and it seems like they are not contended to have their own time. They wanna be felt all at once. Or sometimes, after Happiness goes, Sadness will come right away. It’s harder if Loneliness wouldn’t wanna leave you.

But sometimes we’re also happy, free, confused, and lonely in the best way. And that is something no one could explain.
